It's a Marshmallow World...

Warm up your next Christmas party with a fun hot cocoa bar and homemade marshmallows!

Homemade marshmallows are very easy to make, and you can make them how you like them! Mix in your favorite extract or top with delicious candy canes or even toasted coconut!

Marshmallows

3 Tb unflavored gelatin

1/3 c cold water

  • Mix together in small bowl and let stand for 10 minutes

3 c sugar

1 1/2 c water

  • Desolve in a large saucepan over low heat, stirring as it desolves.

-Add gelatin to saucepan and bring to boil. No need to stir as it boils. Using a candy thermometer, boil until your sugar reaches about 230 degrees. Mine took about 10 minutes.

1 Tb flavor of choice (optional)

-Remove from heat and transfer to mixing bowl with whisk attachment. Add in flavor, if desired. Beat sugar mixture until it cools and becomes thick and white.

-Spray a 13x9 pan with cooking spray and/or use parchment paper. Spread mixture evenly over pan (Here is where you could add optional toppings such as peppermint, toasted coconut, etc). Let set for about 2 hrs at room temperature.

1/4 C powder sugar

Once marshmallows are set, cut in squares or shapes. Roll in powder sugar. Store in airtight container. ❤

Enjoy!
